The loop
Somnus is building a closed-loop data network for upper airway dysfunction: continuous sensing, consistent scoring, intelligent routing, therapy, and outcome capture that re-scores the patient over time. As one connected system, this does not exist in the market today.
Most of what happens to a patient with a struggling airway happens in fragments. A symptom here, a referral there, a treatment somewhere else, and no thread connecting any of it. The Somnus platform is that thread. Each layer below is a node in one loop, and the loop is the product.
Sense
The Nightsong™ app turns any smartphone into a sensor via BSA™, our on-device acoustic breathing and snoring engine. Zero hardware, zero cost to enter the funnel. You sleep; your phone listens; the platform begins to understand your nights. Both operate under the FDA General Wellness Policy and are positioned in wellness terms.
Score
The Somnus Index™ is a composite wellness score that tracks progression across the platform: a credit score for breathing. One number, consistent across every node, so that progress means the same thing on night one and night four hundred.
Route
At launch, the Somnus Provider Directory™ is a patient-browsable directory of sleep-health providers sourced from public registry data. It is neutral and informational, with no credentialing claim and no selective routing, and operates in the wellness context. Routing is a roadmap capability on the device-software track.
Therapy
When the loop routes to treatment, Somnus builds the therapy nodes too. HYPNARA™ is a passive structural palatal implant for snoring and mild-to-moderate OSA, the near-term clinical wedge of the platform. MORPHEX™AI is a smart oral device with on-device airway analytics, supported by an AI/ML clinical decision layer. It supports clinical decision-making; it does not diagnose independently.
Outcomes
After therapy, the loop keeps listening: outcomes feed back into the platform, re-score the patient, and keep it improving over time.
